The Swoosh brand Air Max 97 silhouette is one of the most iconic footwear models to date and any sneakerhead would agree that its level of comfort is on another level. The model was introduced by Christian Tesser in 1997 and it was the first-ever Nike Air Max to feature a full-length visible Air unit beneath the feet and an upper that is inspired by Japan's famed bullet train. As for the latest iteration, the Beaverton sportswear brand has finally unveiled the Nike Air Max 97 Purple Bullet and we have no doubts that it holds grail status for long-term sneakerheads.
Maintaining all its timeless features throughout such as the silver mesh base with metallic and 3M reflective accents, the arrangement predominantly stays true to the OG Silver Bullet colourway except the red accents are withdrawn in favour of purple tones instead.
The scheme is further elevated with stark black hues adorning the sock liner, heel pull tab, and durable black rubber outsole underfoot, and the legendary AM97 silhouette is finally complete with a mini Swoosh logo on the tongue and one in purple midfoot.
The Nike Air Max 97 Purple Bullet is an absolute cop for us, and we don't see a valid reason why it shouldn't be for you!
