The Chalapuka was first unveiled in 2001 and has since been collecting dust in the archives. That’s since changed when Nike chose to re-release the shoe in all its former glory, last year. Several colourways have arrived for this iconic shoe from bold and colourful to understated and tonal.
This pair opts for the former with a deep shade of Armoury Navy that’s perfect for the summer season ahead. It’s not too bright but still manages to grab attention and looks especially good against the uniquely crafted upper.
This is one of few Nike silhouettes to harness an open constructed design where the forefoot is completely open to the elements. While it may not be ideal during the winter months, this is breathable for those hot, sunny days. A contrasting white midsole sits underfoot complete with Air Zoom technology that powers and supports without weighing you down.
