With over 50 years of history, the Nike Cortez is one of the brand’s longest-standing sneakers. After the 50th anniversary milestone in 2022, Nike puts the Cortez back on the map with all-new styles. This Nike Cortez “Midnight Navy” displays a harmonious two-tone makeover with mixed upper materials to achieve a classic look.

Appearing in movies and getting collaborations with celebrities, this classic track shoe has been everywhere in the last few decades. The Cortez’s recent collaborations happened in 2022 during its 50th-anniversary celebration. Brands like Union LA, sacai, and CLOT brought distinctive design updates to the first Nike track shoe. While we are yet to see the “White Varsity Royal”, more commonly known as the “Forrest Gump”, Nike bestows new Cortez colourways in 2023. This rendition features a midnight navy nylon base with suede reinforcements on the toe, eyestay, and lower heel panel. Leather comprises the white Swooshes on the sides and the heel panel with an embroidered Nike label to reinforce the lightweight upper.
