Description
Renowned streetwear brand Supreme reunites with Nike to re-release the Air Zoom Courtposite, one of the most advanced tennis trainers from 2002. This collaboration expands the portfolio between the two long-time partners, having recently dropped two SB Dunk “Rammellzee Multi” colourways that instantly sold out. The Supreme x Nike Air Zoom Courtposite “Black” highlights the archival tennis shoe, clad in a blacked-out rigid Foamposite upper with co-branded labels.
Supreme is no stranger when it comes to reviving forgotten sneakers from past decades. In early 2023, the streetwear legends brought back the Nike Air Bakin, a high-top basketball sneaker from 1997. This Air Zoom Courtposite collection aims to reintroduce the short-lived tennis trainer’s modern style to the present-day sneaker landscape. The shoe has an all-black Foamposite construction, with Supreme branding on the lateral eyestay and a mini Swoosh on the rear. Meanwhile, Supreme’s red box logo adorns the tongue, donning the signature label for a pop of colour atop the pitch-black base. The midfoot shank plate delivers torsional support and stability for side-to-side movements, while the thick herringbone traction patterns on the outsole provide reliable grip on all tennis court surfaces.
