Throwing a spanner in the works for OG collectors, Nike is retro-ing the one and only Wu-Tang Dunk. Originally coming out in 1998 to coincide with the group’s Swarm LP, the following year would see the Wu-Tang Dunk receive a super limited run of 36 pairs, all of which went to the group as well as friends & family. While the 1999 edition fetched up to $ 50,000, there is no doubt that this retro has affected those prices.
Teased by the @nikesportswear Instagram account on the 30th of June 2024, it seems sneakerheads will be getting a 1-for-1 retro of the original. Boasting a black and yellow make-up as seen on the original ’85 “Varsity Maize”, this collab is brimming with Nike history.
After receiving a premium retro with the Fat Joe Terror Squad x Nike Air Force 1 Low, you can put your money on this insane collaboration paying attention to the details and bearing only the finest cut of leather. Of course, with higher quality comes a higher price point, so expect these to cost anywhere from £145 to 185.
Rumours surrounding an official release date have yet to surface, so stay tuned to The Sole Supplier for more information about the Nike Dunk High “Wu-Tang”!
