Nike’s Mayfly was named after the insect of the same name. First hitting the market as a low cost running silhouette, it wasn’t designed for wear and tear. Hence it had a short life span like the Mayfly insect.
After re-engineering the model and outfitting with all new material, the Mayfly left behind this shoddy image. It’s now considered one of the brands most exclusive running silhouettes. Take a look at these detailed images and it’s not hard to see why. Soft and luxurious suede hits the outer while woven detail is stamped across the entire midsection. To compliment, soft leather makes an appearance to the inner lining and a white midsole sits underfoot.
The Nike Mayfly Woven Neutral Grey launched on Thursday 28th July via the retailers on the right hand side. Be sure to act fast, as this shoe won’t be on shelves for long.
