Noah x PUMA Star White Blue

Noah and PUMA are back again, this time plucking an obscure silhouette out of the archive. Releasing a flurry of Made In Japan PUMA Clyde editions back in March of ’23, Noah is sticking to its brand ethos with another quality addition to the roster. Based on the PUMA Wimbledon, a ‘70s tennis shoe, the Star arrives with a heavy retro feel. If you’re a fan of vintage tennis shoes, then this pair certainly deserves a spot on the rotation.

Similar to the Wimbledon, a perforated Formstrip decorates the sidewall, a now outdated feature that was originally introduced for breathability. Keeping to the typical tennis tooling, the upper is formed from supple white leather, with Noah’s Cross logo sitting elegantly on the heel. Co-branding is also woven into the tongue label and sockliner, with the brand’s four-letter spell out a perfect replacement for PUMA’s wordmark. Embracing the aged aesthetic of the Star are the off white midsole and laces, details that complement the simple white leather upper along with the hits of blue branding. As a final nod to the catalogue of tennis shoes that inspired this project, the sizing and manufacturing code are printed onto the inner collar. Noah has stated on its website that these fit a half-size big, so you may want to bear that in mind if you’re planning to cop!

The Noah x PUMA Star “White Blue” will be dropping on the Noah website on the 30th of June, along with a wider release on the 1st of July.
