Japanese-owned, New York-based fashion brand Engineered Garments employs an ultra-modern remake of a late ‘80s Reebok basketball trainer. This collaboration is a follow-up to the three-part LX2200 collection from ‘22, which saw the vintage running shoe get decked out in Daiki Suzuki’s signature workwear aesthetic. Dropping alongside the “Silver Metallic” rendition, the Engineered Garments x Reebok BB 4000 2 “Gold Metallic” adopts a glossy colour palette, guaranteed to boost your lifestyle wardrobe.
This classic basketball shoe dons a luxe gold accent shining throughout its premium leather construction. Vector logos nestle on the sidewalls underneath the embossed Engineered Garments branding. Meanwhile, a debossed Reebok label embellishes the heel to preserve its heritage look. The tongue showcases an embossed UK flag, a nod to the sportswear brand’s hometown. Additional branding adorns the sockliners to veer from regular colourways. The midsole has raised sidewalls for lateral stability, backed by a durable gum rubber sole offering enhanced traction on the pavement.
