Balenciaga is not a brand that seems to shy away from quirky fashion show invites, and it was only a few days ago that we got a glimpse at their latest stunt. Stacks of fake money were sent out to invite the fashion elite to their latest SS23 collection, which was held at the New York Stock Exchange on the 22nd May.
Amongst the collection of looks was the brand's newest collaboration, which happened to be with none other than German sportswear giant adidas. With images of a potential collaborative adidas x Balenciaga Triple S having surfaced a while ago, sending the rumour mill into overdrive, the collaboration (and indeed the Triple S) was confirmed when a number of co-branded tracksuits, football shirts, dresses, leggings, and footwear silhouettes were sent down the runway.
This isn't adidas' only foray into the luxury market this year. The Three Stripes brand also has a collection with Gucci set to drop in June, so its looking like things are very cozy with the Kering Group right now.
The collection is now available for pre-order until May 29th on Balenciaga's webstore, so head over there to shop now! Right now, there's no indication as to whether the collection will drop at adidas too, but be sure to keep it locked as we'll let you know as soon as we hear more!
In other news, Nike are teaming up with Jacquemus for a capsule collection.
