Rumours of a Jacquemus x Nike collab have been floating around for a little while now, but now the French fashion label has confirmed the upcoming link-up over on Instagram. Taking to the social media platform to post a number of teaser videos, Simon Porte Jacquemus confirmed that the upcoming collection was to launch on June 28th.

Although the videos didn’t offer a particularly clear look at the collaboration, earlier posts from the brand’s Family Love campaign did feature some Nikes worn on foot, which could well have hinted towards the pairs to come. Among those worn are a pair of black Nike Shox, as well as a white pair of the Nike Air Series 6E or 6F.
But whilst those pairs got people talking, it's looking like the upcoming collection is going to look a little different. Taking on more of a tennis-themed aesthetic for the clothing part of the 15-piece capsule, the collection includes a dress, mini skirt and cycle shorts that marry Nike's functional fabrics with Jacquemus' feminine tailoring. The footwear options look to be a little more rugged however. The designer has always praised Nike's ACG line, and he looks to have brought that functionality to this collection.
Way back in February 2020, Yoon Ambush posted a photo with a number of well-known Nike collaborators, including Travis Scott, Tom Sachs and Virgil Abloh, with the caption “Checks over Stripes.” With most designers in the photo having at least one Nike collab under their belts at the time, it did appear to hint that it would only be a matter of time before Jacquemus would be joining them.
Now that the collection has been confirmed, be sure to keep it locked for more info as it comes in, as we’ll be the first to update you as soon as we hear more!
Up next, Travis Scott's Air Max 1s will be releasing this month.
