After getting a very brief glimpse at the runways of Paris Fashion Week earlier this year, we're now taking a closer look at the sacai x Nike VaporWaffle "Sail". One of the hottest hybrids in the game, Chitose Abe has now worked her magic on two new silhouettes, and we're all for it.
Leaks courtesy of reputable sneaker insider @solebyjc, the "Sail" is painted in a somewhat patriotic palette that combines red, white, and blue. Just like her two other silhouettes, everything from the lateral and medial side Nike Swooshes to the tongues and lacing systems have been doubled up for an aesthetic that's literally twice as nice.
Of course, you can't talk about this collab without mentioning that crazy midsole unit that looks like it is peel off from the back. This is highlighted with a blue accent and further elevated via a black rubber outsole, finishing off the stacked design.
At this moment in time, nothing else is known about the sacai x Nike VaporWaffle "Sail", but we do know that it'll launch sometime in the summer. Let us know if you'll be adding these to your personal collection, and in related news, the sacai x Nike LDWaffle "Protege Ton Soignant" recently got auctioned off for COVID-19 relief!
