After a brief preview of the white colourway earlier on this week, we now have a closer look at the upcoming Off-White x Nike Air Force 1 Mid “Black”. While this isn’t the first time Virgil Abloh and his brand have worked in the AF1, it is indeed the first time that the lesser-seen mid-top variation has been used. In typical Off-White style, the silhouette has been completely reworked to show off a new aesthetic that will no doubt go down a hit with sneakerheads.
Decked out in a primarily black colour-scheme, the pair is crafted from what looks to be a type of Flyknit fabric, in contrast to the usual leather AF1. Enlarged Swoosh logos are stitched onto either side in typical Off-White fashion, along with the typeface branding located on the medial that has appeared on nearly every OW collaboration since the original ten.
Contrasting white laces along with an ankle strap secure these firmly on feet, while plenty of padding and a protruding heel tab also make appearances. Beneath the feet a chunky black midsole conceals plenty of cushioning, while green, blue and pink running spikes add a splash of colour to the look. Spikes of this kind have been seen on previous Off-White collaborations and certainly add an avant-garde theme to the look.
If you’re already squirming with excitement over this latest leaked pair then you’re going to have to chill out for a while, as currently we don’t have any further details regarding a release.
