We've said it before, and we'll said it again: The Off-White x Nike Blazer Low has got to be Virgil Abloh's craziest sneaker ever made. Taking the iconic Blazer and completely deconstructing it to the highest degree, the result is like a spaceship for your feet - and we're now getting our most detailed look yet!
Straying very, very far from the original mock-up that leaked at the start of last year, Off-White's take on the Blazer Low is crafted from smooth black leather with a series of cut-outs peppered throughout, kind of like the Off-White x Air Jordan 5 "Black". Fabric mudguards wrap around the entire shoe, while the dual lacing system is swiped straight from Abloh's Dunk collaboration.
A Nike Swoosh shoots across the lateral and medials, and of course, you can't talk about this shoe without mentioning the wild midsole. While the front of the unit has been kept pretty true-to-the-OG, the back features a crazy contraption that's accented with a blue and green cushioning system. While we're not entirely sure where this avant-garde feature comes from, it does bear a striking resemblance to the ACG Terra Humara, complete with the orange speckling.
Originally supposed to drop at the tail end of 2021, the Off-White x Nike Blazer Low "Black" will now launch sometime in 2022 alongside the "White". Let us know what you think of Virgil's latest Swoosh project, and while you're here, you might as well take your first look at the Off-White x Nike Air Force 1 Mid "White"!
