The New Balance 550 train isn't slowing down any time soon. Next on the release roster is the positively adorable New Balance 550 "Purple", an all leather iteration that takes clean white on the upper, as well as "Court Purple" accents that add brightness to the silhouette.
Brought back into the sneaker sphere by Teddy Santis of ALD, the New Balance 550 is having quite a moment right now. We've previously seen a very similar iteration release, but with suede across the toe box, rather than another leather panel, and in a slightly darker shade of purple. This option will be great for those who missed out the first time.
Perforations across the sidewalls add breathability, whilst the large 'N' logo above highlight the Boston-based brand's impact on the sneaker industry and make for an instantly recognisable brand. The rubber outsole is split into purple and white colouring, and embossed branding on the midsole sits subtly in the same colour. 550 stitching is housed at the bottom of the lacing unit, whilst New Balance's basketball branding can be found at the top of the tongue, despite this sneaker's impact on the b-ball world being extremely limited.
Further logos can be found on the heel panel in the titular hue.
We don't yet know when the New Balance 550 Purple White will be dropping, but keep locked in to find out a date and time soon and follow the links on this page to set your release reminders ready for the drop.
