Having linked up on a 2002R last year, New Balance and GANNI are back at it again to deliver a lesson in Scandinavian style. This time, the Boston-based brand and Copenhagen-born label have worked together on two more silhouettes, finally revealed to the public during GANNI’s most recent runway show at Copenhagen Fashion Week. So, without further ado, it’s time to say ‘hej!’ to the New Balance x GANNI 1906R, and RC30.
After leaking via a series of blurry photos at the start of 2023, sneaker fans and GANNI girls alike have eagerly awaited the launch of the collaborative 1906R, which is easily one of NB’s most popular silhouettes. Taking on a slightly more subtle approach than its all-over GANNI-branded predecessor, the duo has served up two colourways of the style - a super-wearable cream-toned pair, and a louder, bright yellow version. Keeping the collection cohesive, the former sports hits of the sunshine hue on the ‘N’ logos and heel tabs, while the latter comes contrasted with black accents, causing the bright base to pop even more.
Alongside the retro-style runner, the partnership is also set to deliver a GANNI-exclusive RC30. Channelling GANNI’s playful persona, this pair features a mismatched make-up, with one shoe featuring a black base with yellow accents, and the other arriving in its reverse.
Both pairs are set to drop on the 16th of August over at GANNI, while a New Balance release for the 1906R colourways will take place on the 18th. If these are on your radar, then make sure to hit the release reminders links below for your best chance of copping a pair on the day.
Up next, END. teams up with Salomon for a new take on the XT-6.
