After getting a glimpse of the "Orange" yesterday, we're now taking our first look at the Grateful Dead x Nike SB Dunk Low "Yellow". The third of five potential colourways releasing as part of the collaboration with the '60s rock band, these pay homage to the Grateful Dead Bears - a series of dancing bears that were drawn by Bob Thomas for the group's 1973 "History of the Grateful Dead, Volume One" album.
Images courtesy of sneaker insider @thisischickenwop, the "Yellow" is painted in a vibrant yellow hue and crafted from a multitude of premium materials. With a fuzzy base, buttery smooth suede panels make their way along the ankle and lacing system, while a canvas Nike Swoosh shoots across the lateral and medial side panels, complete with a rough jagged design.
A vintage font takes over the "Nike" branding at the heel, and a pocket features inside the fat tongue so you can store your secret stash. To round it all off, GD's signature lightning bolt motif hits the back of the tongue, finalising the show stopping aesthetic.
Set to drop on June 27th, we're not entirely sure if the Grateful Dead x Nike SB Dunk Low collab will release all at once, so make sure you keep it locked at The Sole Supplier for more news as it develops! While you're here, you might as well get up close and personal with the the Nike SB Dunk Low "Denim Gum"!
