Earlier this year, the sneaker world froze over when we caught our first glimpse of the upcoming Tom Sachs x NikeCraft General Purpose Shoe. While these weren't exactly what we were expecting considering the New York contemporary artist has definitely been working on the Mars Yard 2.5, it looks like we'll also be getting one that's directly inspired by this silhouette with the Tom Sachs x NikeCraft General Purpose Shoe "Yellow" - and here's everything we know so far!
A nod to the legendary Mars Yard that kicked off Sachs' space-age NikeCraft division back in 2012, this version of the General Purpose Shoe is dipped in a vibrant yellow colourway that is sure to turn heads wherever you go. A ballistic mesh base offers an insane amount of breathability, while buttery suede panels wrap around the lacing system and mudguards. Flat white laces tie everything together, while a matching Nike Swoosh shoots across the lateral and medial side panels.
Bold red accents descend upon the heel and tongue tabs, while the midsole is dipped in a clean beige hue, just like the aforementioned Yards. The NYC creative's famous handwriting is etched around the back, while a sustainable cork insole finalises this Killshot-esque sneaker.
Not much else is known about the Tom Sachs x Nike General Purpose Shoe "Yellow" at this moment in time, but our sources have led us to believe that they will launch sometime this summer. Let us know if you'll be grabbing these, and while you're here, you might as well take a sneak peek of the Nike SB Dunk Low "Be True" 2022!
