With the Day of the Dead just around the corner, it seems Nike is looking to bolster its Día De Muertos offerings. After dressing the Air Max 1 in a "Familia" colourway for the holiday, the Swoosh brand has now prepared a further four silhouettes in preparation for the holiday, each with its own unique twist.
The silhouettes in question are the Air Jordan 1 Zoom CMFT 2, Dunk Low, Air Max 1 and Blazer Mid, each proudly embracing the vibrant aesthetic of the festivities. Starting with the Air Jordan 1 Zoom CMFT 2, this shoe sees a mix of black and gold hues decorate its high-top exterior. With subtle gradients and flower motifs, this pair is nothing short of an eye-catcher.
Up next, we have the Dunk Low inspired by the famed marigold flower. Prized for their vibrant colouring and powerful fragrance, marigolds are said to attract the souls of the dead to the ofrendas (offerings) prepared for them at the festivities. Keeping with the black and gold theme, this trainer features textured overlays and a mix of materials.
To accompany the "Familia" addition, we see yet another Air Max 1 receive the Día De Muertos treatment. This latest rendition flaunts a vibrant pink hue all over, contrasted by yellow, green, blue and orange embroidered details.
To round off the package, the Blazer Mid showcases somewhat of a calmer temperament in comparison to the rest of the pack. Atop a gum sole, gold, black, and white tints work together to create a contemporary and clean finish.
For those looking to get their hand on any of Nike's Día De Muertos offerings, the Nike Dunk Low and Air Jordan 1 Zoom CMFT 2 are expected to land on SNKRS on the 21st of October, but no further details are available about the remaining two just yet.
