Release Reminder: Don't Miss the Skepta x Nike Air Max Tailwind 5!

We can't believe it's taken Skepta almost two years to come up with another sizzling Swoosh collab, but honestly, the wait was worth it. Officially unveiled during a livestream on Air Max Day 2021, the Skepta x Nike Air Max Tailwind 5 is the perfect fusion of classic and contemporary, and it's set to drop tomorrow on April 2nd at 8am across multiple retailers!

Taking on the iconic Air Max Tailwind 5, the British grime artist's version of the shoe takes inspiration from butterfly wings. Arriving in a vibrant "Chrome Blue" or "Bright Blue" colour palette, a shimmering silver Swoosh is borrowed from his previous Shox TL, and this is complemented with metallic detailing across the lateral and medial heel. Down below, you'll find an extra chunky midsole complete with a series of visible bubbles for comfort and cushioning that knows no bounds.

Of course, if you want to grab this Sk Air it's probably got a lot to do with the iridescent accents at the tongue and heel. A nod to the thermographic cover art from Skepta's 2019 album Ignorance Is Bliss, this is a Nike collab that you seriously do not want to overlook.
