Rumour Has It, There's a sacai x Nike Cortez On The Way

Following on from getting an on-foot look of the Union LA x Nike Cortez, it's been revealed that Chitose Abe is again partnering up with the Swoosh Brand to celebrate the silhouette's 50th Anniversary in 2022.

sacai x Nike is a match made in heaven, so we're especially interested to see Abe's take on the classic Cortez. The first track shoe to be released by Nike, co-founder Bill Bowerman designed this model back in 1972 for the Olympics. This is one sneaker that has a special place in many sneakerheads' hearts, so we know that the sacai collaboration is going to be as popular as Abe's hybrid VaporWaffle or LDWaffle trainers.

Taking on that much-loved and inventive design, the only thing we know about this sacai x Nike Cortez is that it will feature a doubled-up tongue, the iconic parted midsole, and two sets of laces. It's also rumoured that the pair will come in a special box. We can't wait to take a closer look!
