Introduced by none other than Tinker Hatfield in 1989, the Air Jordan 4 is a fan-favourite and easily one of the most popular silhouettes in the Jordan Brand lineup. There have been some absolutely epic colourways over the years, and the AJ4 has always been an in-demand shoe, but now it’s more desirable than ever before, as the Swoosh continues to pump out top-tier designs that are snapped up by footwear fans.
In terms of releases, they’re absolutely not slowing down. With plenty of high-heat on the way in 2023, we’ve sat down and organised all the best AJ4s that are en-route this year, and formatted them into this easy-to-read guide. So whether you’re a seasoned Jordan 4 veteran or totally new to the game, check out what’s to come below!
First on our list is none other than the Air Jordan 4 “Seafoam”. Showcasing OG colour-blocking, this women’s-exclsuive colourway boasts a pale-green hue across a white and grey base layer, with all the premium features you’d expect from the model present here. Hitting the Nike SNKRS app and select retailers on the 9th February, these are set to sell out in no time.
Another confirmed release for this year is the Air Jordan 4 SE Craft “Photon Dust”. Launching as part of the premium Craft line, this special-edition pair is decked out with high-end materials from heel to toe, with the iconic wings even crafted from supple leather. If you’re looking for a low-key pair to round off the perfect fit then look no further. Launching on the 11th February, these are up there with the best of them!
Last released back in 2012, the Air Jordan 4 “Thunder” is a legendary colourway, and it’s set to make an impressive return in 2023. Combining vibrant yellow hues with a stealthy-black base layer, this colourway is a serious head-turner and doesn’t mess around in doing so. As it stands there’s no official release date for this pair set, although rumours state that they’ll likely hit stores in May.
Bearing a striking resemblance to UNDFTD’s iconic and highly-limited AJ4 collaboration, the Air Jordan 4 “Olive Canvas” is a pair that plenty of OG footwear fans look forward to. We’re yet to see any images of these, so all we’ve got right now are mock-ups. However, if the release pair end up looking anything like the mock-ups, we’re certainly in for a treat. Apparently releasing towards the latter end of the year, keep your eyes peeled for more details regarding this high-heat pair.
Inspired by the original 1989 “White Cement” pair, the brand-new “Red Cement” AJ4 showcases similar colour blocking to the recent “Midnight Navy” release, swapping the dark blue for hits of fire red. Complete with the speckle pattern throughout, this release is already sparking conversation amongst seasoned sneakerheads. Earmarked for a possible August release, will you be looking to add these to your rotation?
Keeping things muted once again, the Air Jordan 4 “Light Iron Ore” opts for a supple suede look instead of the usual leather construction seen on the silhouette. Black and white details break up the look but remain low-key, with Jumpman branding present throughout. This high-heat summer pair is rumoured to be hitting retailers around August 2023, so stay locked in right here for more details as we get them!
Last but by no means at all least, the highly-anticipated collaborative effort between Nike SB and Jordan Brand is set to kick off this year, spearheaded by the AJ4 SB “Pine Green”. Once again, we can only look to the mock-ups for inspiration, but these are rumoured to be hitting stores in March, which really isn’t too far off. Key features such as the gum sole and SB branding on the heel tabs make these a must-have for plenty of collectors, so stay tuned for more information as we receive it.
