adidas’ Adilette 22 Slide caused quite a stir when it first dropped last year, because Ye (formerly Kanye West) accused the 3-Stripes of copying his Yeezy brand. However, having officially ended the partnership last October and recently settling on a deal to sell off the remaining Yeezy stock, adidas is now able to ramp up the production guilt-free, with Yeezy-inspired colourways looking to find their way into the summer drops.
Though we’ll likely see a flurry of colourways arrive between now and the summer months, one particular pair that’s caught our eye is the upcoming “Clay Strata” iteration. Taking obvious cues from Yeezy’s MX colourways, the pair features a marbled pattern across its build, with shades of “Clay” and brown dressing the model. Aside from the pattern, the slide arrives exactly how you’d expect it to, with a textured feel, adidas branding a chunky sole rounding off the design.
What do you think about the new Adilette 22 colourway? Could these be a suitable replacement for any worn-out Yeezy Slides? The style is available to shop now, so just hit the link below to secure your size.
