Last summer, Craig Green took to London Fashion Week to tease his upcoming Craig Green x adidas collection, and now, it has officially been unveiled. Dubbed "Season One", it comprises of two unique silhouettes, including the Kontuur I and the Kontuur II, which are inspired by the Kamanda and the Ozweego, respectively.
A nod to the harmony between the upper and sole, the Kontuur I's upper features a perforated effect as if it has been punctured by the unique urchin-like sole, while the Kontuur II places a huge emphasis on the chunky unit that gives the upper a quilted look. Both shoes will release in two minimal colour scheme and will be completed with co-branded detailing at the tongue and heel.
"Footwear is like a sculpture. There’s so much you can do with sneakers that you can’t do with clothing." explained the British fashion designer. "It’s exciting to think of all we can create in this collaborative project with adidas Originals."
If you're intrigued, Craig Green x adidas "Season One" is set to launch on January 31st, with more styles scheduled to arrive over the course of the year. Let us know what you think of this collaboration, and while you're here, the adidas Superstan is the hybrid sneaker that we never knew we needed!
