The Latest New Balance 550 Collab Has a Vintage-Style Look About It

Having collaborated with the likes of Aimé Leon Dore, New Balance is no stranger to letting outsiders run wild with their 550 silhouette. It's no surprise seeing as the ALD iterations are arguably the most popular of all the 550s, but we think this latest Rich Paul x New Balance 550 White Blue offering could give it a run for its money for the top spot.

Dressed in vintage tones such as an off-white leather upper and a yellowed large 'N' logo on the medial and lateral sidewalls, this 550 is offset perfectly by the UNC colouring on the middle of the grippy outsole and "Midnight Navy" shading across the top of the tongue, outsole and peeping through the panelling on the body.

Coming with a selection of lace colours, this Rich Paul sneaker is customisable to you and gives off that sports-luxe vibe in abundance. The mega agent has taken all the tones he knows are going to be a hit with the NB audience and created a stellar shoe that will sell out immediately. It's no surprise, he obviously knows his stuff having been the agent to star NBA players such as LeBron James.

550 branding can be found dotted across the smooth leather and perforated upper at the forefoot and heel of the trainer, as well as in bright yellow at the top of the tongue. Additional New Balance logos are part of the "Sail" midsole, too. One of the most underrated silhouettes of this year, the NB 550 is going to be one to watch come 2022.
