Since Teddy Santis dug out that old Japanese catalogue which featured the original New Balance 550, the Boston-based brand's lifestyle offering has changed forever. For the past two years, we've seen a plethora of New Balance 550 colourways hit the shelves, and now we get to take a look at the next one. Meet, the New Balance 550 "Grey".
There's nothing particularly new or different about these monochromatic 550s, but we know that the NB fan club love a neutral colourway, as the aim of the game is to wear them all day, everyday - and with everything! On this iteration, you can see that the 'N' logo, which was first seen 1976 on the New Balance 320, sits in grey on the medial and lateral sidewalls, and is outlined by black piping. The upper is constructed from a mixture of leather, material, and mesh on the tongue, whilst further New Balance branding can be found at the bottom on the lace unit reading '550' and at the top of the tongue. This label acts as a reminder of the New Balance 550's roots in basketball, despite that not being NB's most successful venture into the world of sport.
If you're looking to cop these New Balance 550 White Greys on release day, then make sure to set your reminder using the links on this page. This way, you'll get notifications straight to your phone when they're in stock and you won't miss the drop!
