Back in August, Hommyo Hidefumi unveiled the mysterious atmos x Nike Air Max ZM950 to the world. A high heat hybrid that completely reworked the iconic Air Max 95 from the ground up, we were all in complete awe over this release. Unfortunately, it was made exclusive to Japan, but it looks like the Beaverton brand are prepping the silhouette for a much wider release that sneakerheads around the world can finally cop!
Unveiled in two ultra versatile colourways, the ZM950 will make its grand debut in "Chile Red" and "Black". Celebrating 25 years of the legendary AM95, each pair is done up with flowing lines that bear a striking resemblance to the upper of the Air Max 97. The toe cap from the 95 can be found here, while subtle yet striking Swoosh branding adorns the heel of each shoe.
While the upper is definitely the star of the shoe, it's hard to ignore the aggressively sculpted midsole down below. Crafted from EVA foam, it combines the Air midsole from the Air Max 270 with Zoom units borrowed from Nike running shoes, resulting in comfort and cushioning that is off the charts.
If you need either of these Nike Air Max ZM950s in your life, then you need to listen up. As with all things good, both colourways will be releasing first in Japanese on October 10th, followed by a worldwide drop later in the year. Let us know which colourway you're feeling the most, and in related news, the Nike Air Max 95 "Freddy Krueger" channels Halloween vibes!
