Following the unexpected passing of Off-White founder and Louis Vuitton designer Virgil Abloh back in November, Nike had to do a little bit of re-shuffling for some of his pre-planned collaborations as a sign of respect to the late creative genius. After a four month delay, it looks like the Off-White x Nike Blazer Low may finally have a release date, whether you like it or not.
Unlike anything we've seen before, Abloh's take on the classic model is truly one-of-a-kind. Arriving in "Black" and "White" colour schemes, it features a full leather upper complete with a series of perforations that harken back to his Air Jordan 5 from last year. Flat laces tie everything together while a neon green pair zig-zags across for the ultimate lockdown fit. This element was borrowed from Virgil's Dunk Low "Dear Summer" Collection that saw a total of fifty colourways release across SNKRS.
Of course, this isn't the first time that the Beaverton brand have had to do something like this. Back in 2020, the sneaker giant pulled all of its Kobe Bryant pieces from their online store for six months following the basketball legend's sudden death.
As mentioned before, this special edition Blazer Low collab was originally expected to launch back in December, but our sources now tell us that an April 8th launch is on the cards. Make sure you keep it locked at The Sole Supplier for more release info as it develops, and in related news, the sacai x Nike Blazer Low is arriving in "Black" and "White" patent panels.
