There's no doubt in any sneakerhead's mind that Virgil Abloh changed the game with 2017 Off-White x Nike "THE 10" Collection. Taking a few of the Swoosh's most iconic silhouettes and completely reworking them, it looks like he's set to repeat this winning formula with the Off-White x Nike Dunk Low "Black". Part of the "THE 50" Collection, rumour has it that the American fashion designer will be taking the beloved basketball shoe and releasing fifty different colourways of it, and this one is number "50 of 50".
Unveiled by sneaker insider @yeezymic, the "Black" is as stealthy as it gets. Crafted from smooth grain leather throughout, a shimmering silver Nike Swoosh shoots across the sidewalls, while the medial side is also decorated with Off-White's signature technical verbiage. Deconstructed elements make their way throughout the shoe including the dual lace setup and tags, and you'll also find an extra piece of code that's printed around the heel.
Of course, you can't talk about this Dunk Low without mentioning the purple number plate that's attached to the midsole. With "50 of 50" written in all-caps, this is set to be the fiftieth shoe of "THE 50". From previous leaked we've seen colourways of all different forms, so there's no doubt that this collaboration is going to completely change the landscape once again.
While a release date has yet to be officially confirmed, the code around the heel suggests that the Off-White x Nike Dunk Low "Black" will be dropping sometime this autumn. Let us know if you'll be adding these to your personal collection, and in related news, Virgil Abloh recently confirmed the Off-White x Nike Air Force 1 "University Gold"!
