Back in 2019, Kim Jones changed the sneaker game forever with the release of the Dior x Air Jordan 1 collaboration. One of the rarest partnerships in history, pairs still resell for over £10,000 even two years later. If you didn't manage to secure your size back in the day or just couldn't afford the monstrous price tag, the Beaverton brand has got your back with the Nike Dunk Low "Light Smoke Grey"!
Bearing a striking resemblance to the Dior x Air Jordan 1 Low, this Dunk works on top of a crisp white base while clean grey panels wrap around the entire shoe. While you won't find any premium lacy detailing here, what you will find is a stealthy black Swoosh that shoots across the lateral and medial side panels. Additional Nike branding is stitched onto the tongue and heel, while darker laces added a very subtle contrast to the colourway.
While the Oregon footwear company could've just left it there and called it a day, they've actually applied an off-white hue to the midsole which gives it a retro vibe. Similar to the upcoming "Vintage Green" and "Vintage Navy" drops, this looks like something that's been pulled straight out of the archives.
The Nike Dunk Low "Light Smoke Grey" is set to go live within the coming weeks, so make sure you keep it locked at The Sole Supplier for your best chance to cop, especially if you took a L on the Dior AJ1s back in 2019. Let us know if you'll be grabbing a pair, and in related news, the creator of Akira is bringing us the Katsuhiro Otomo x Nike Dunk Low "Steam Boy"!
