2022 marks the 50th anniversary of the legendary Cortez. One of the first Swoosh sneakers ever made, Chitose Abe is adding her iconic spin to it five decades later with the sacai x Nike Cortez. First teased alongside her Pre-Fall Women's and Fall/Winter 2022 Men's lookbooks back in January, we're now taking our best look yet thanks to these brand new shots from sneaker insider @solebyjc!

A homage to the OG colourway, Abe's take on the mythical runner features a crisp white nylon upper with light grey suede gracing the lacing system and heel. A bold red Nike Swoosh shoots across the lateral and medial side panels, and this is overlaid by a contrasting grey one in full sacai fashion.

Of course, you can't talk about this covet collaboration without mentioning the deconstructed details. With two tongues and two lacing systems, the Cortez also sits atop a double-stacked midsole that's inspired by the Zoom Fly, complete with the exposed forefoot Air bubble that offers up extra cushioning and comfort with every step.
