Willy Chavarria’s latest collaboration with adidas Originals highlights his avant-garde design ethos and unapologetic style. Offering a premium take on an ‘80s basketball sneaker, the Willy Chavarria x adidas Forum 84 Hi “Black Red” echoes the New York-based designer’s signature aesthetic, forming a flawless crossover between sports and high-end fashion.

These high-top shoes feature a blacked-out leather upper with bright red 3-Stripes on the sidewalls, sporting a similar look to the previous Jabbar Low rendition. A golden signature appears on the lateral foxing, complementing the massive “chavarria” label on the hook-and-loop ankle straps and the red rose iconography on the tongue. The co-branding on the insole nods to Chavarria’s rising status as one of adidas’ top collaborative partners. The rubber cupsole incorporates a thick pivot circle and repeated Trefoil nubs for grippy traction on the hardwood court and the runway stage.
