One small step for man, but a giant leap for the Three Stripes footwear brand as the new NASA x adidas NMD R1 SPECTOO White that has been on our radar since early this year has returned to earth with a forthcoming release date.
The NMD R1 is by far one of adidas' most successful silhouettes these recent years. Its first release seen in 2015 was a huge hit but eventually went off our radar station for a little while. However, adidas Originals have been working in space with NASA to bring back a legendary shoe with a space theme loop to it.
A detailed look of the sneaker boasts a clean white colorway with eye-catching accents throughout. The quarter panels feature a mesh netting material constructed diagonally from its lateral toe all the way to its collar for a unique contemporary touch. EVA plugs built onto its halo silver full-length Boost sole unit are taped with a vibrant orange on its front while its rear highlighted with a white hue.
NASA branding graphics are visible overall but this Ultra Boost would not be complete if we didn't mention adidas' iconic Trefoil embossed on a translucent rubber back heel panel.
Available to cop at select retailers next month, the high-heat collaboration between the two puts a retail price of £130 on the NASA adidas NMD R1 SPECTOO Space White. The pair will be released in limited quantities only so stay with us here at The Sole Supplier for the most updated sneaker news!
