Pharrell Williams x adidas NMD S1 MAHBS Oatmeal Mint

Multifaceted artist, producer, designer, and Humanrace founder Pharrell Williams reunites with adidas to launch four more colourways of his collaborative NMD S1 MAHBS following its debut in early 2023. Similar to the “Beige Blue” iteration, the theme of all four styles highlights “natural materials through the lens of advanced manufacturing”, according to the brand website. This “Oatmeal Mint” iteration presents an autumn-ready makeover with its earthy colour scheme built atop the chunky NMD S1 sole.

The utilitarian take on this chunky lifestyle sneaker has a light grey soft canvas shroud reinforcing the textile base layer underneath. Muted green “Humanrace” branding decorates the lateral panel, replacing the traditional 3-Stripes on the regular adidas NMD S1 model. Thick rope laces arrive in a light grey hue, adding a touch of vintage to the futuristic sneaker. Mint green accents animate the rear panel to produce a split colour blocking. The chunky TPU midsole features plastic plugs on the sides, preserving the signature detail seen on the OG NMD R1 from 2015. Inside the midsole is a thick slab of full-length Boost foam for superior cushioning and comfort. Rugged lugs on the outsole replicate adidas Trefoil traction patterns to complete the unconventional design language of these kicks.
