Pharrell Williams x adidas NMD S1 MAHBS Oatmeal Pink

Humanrace brand founder and long-time adidas collaborator Pharrell Williams keeps his hands full with a myriad of sneaker projects with the German sportswear powerhouse. Following several Samba capsules in 2023, the Louis Vuitton menswear creative director expands his portfolio with the 3-Stripes by introducing four new colourways of the special-edition adidas NMD S1 MAHBS. This “Oatmeal Pink” iteration boasts a split design aesthetic highlighting its titular hues.

Part of the NMD evolution that kicked off with the NMD S1 in ‘21, the MAHBS edition incorporates an eccentric design language formed by utilitarian-inspired aesthetics and asymmetrical panelling. This colourway boasts a split colour blocking, starting with the predominantly greyscale upper crafted with a textile underlay shrouded by form-fitting canvas. Light pink accents animate the heel panel. Meanwhile, a fading pink hue engulfs the Humanrace branding on the lateral section. Co-branded labels appear on the sockliners. Rope laces deliver a vintage touch to this futuristic sneaker. Staying true to the adidas NMD DNA, the full-length Boost foam midsole hides within a two-tone transparent TPU cage with plastic inserts on the sides, thicker and more pronounced than any NMD in the past. The rugged rubber outsole featuring adidas Trefoil patterns caps off this collaborative colourway.
