After dabbling in his usual palette on the Gazelle Indoor , Sean Wotherspoon takes a minimal approach with his latest version of the adidas Orketro . It’s not the first time the Round Two owner and frequent collaborator has worked on the silhouette either, releasing a more typically ‘Wotherspoon’ edition back in the start of ’23. If that “ Multi ” edition was a bit too much for you, then this new “Off White” pair should definitely be down your street!
Casting aside the pink mesh and blue tubing, this offering focuses on 50% natural and renewable construction that fits into the collaborator’s ethos. This edition still boasts all the bold detailing of what adidas is calling its “retro-futuristic runner”, while lending itself to the wearer’s creative expression, allowing them to customise or alter the shoe in any way that suits them. Wotherspoon himself took to his Instagram to say, “I can’t wait to see who decides to keep theirs OG, and who will go crazy with some dyeing!”, just another hint at how open this project is to your own personal flair.
As with the previous Gazelle Indoor , a cork insole is included inside with SW co-branding. Given the silhouette’s retro-runner influence and adiPrene midsole, you can rest assured that the Orketro arrives packing out-the-box comfort. Underfoot, the gum bottom keeps things classic, a detail that Wotherspoon mentioned “was here to stay from the get go!”, when displaying the various rounds of sampling on his IG.
The Sean Wotherspoon x adidas Orketro “Off White” will be landing on Offspring on the 01st of July, with sign ups available on the adidas CONFIRMED app up until the draw on the 7th of July. For any further information regarding the release, make sure to keep it locked into The Sole Supplier!
