Infusing Asian heritage with European fashion trends, French luxury fashion label KENZO taps ASICS for their debut collaboration. Designed by creative director Nigo, the luxurious collection features three iterations of the GEL-Kayano 20, an archival stability trainer launched in 2013. The KENZO x ASICS GEL-Kayano 20 “Multi Grey” channels the signature tiger aesthetic popularised by both brands, forming a sublime display of elegance from top to bottom.
This iteration sports an off-white faux fur underlay engulfed in tiger stripes and grey embroidered overlays. Synthetic materials form the clean white panels, accompanied by the rigid heel counter for stability and support. Black and gold Tiger Stripes decorate the sidewalls, while a subtle “KENZO” label sits on the lateral forefoot. Co-branded logos embellish the tongue and sockliners, a detail repeated on the special-edition tiger-inspired shoe box. Lavish gold accents highlight the GEL cushioning on the midsole and branding on the rear, rounding out the silhouette’s premium colour palette.
