HAL Studios x ASICS GEL-NYC 2.0 Brown Black

HAL Studios and ASICS rework the GEL-NYC 2.0 in "Brown Black", a colourway titled "Queens '94" in reference to Queensbridge and Nas' Illmatic. Mahogany leads the upper, while black runs through the midsole and underlays for a muted, tonal effect. Breathable mesh forms the base, with leather and suede overlays layered above for structure. Debossed dot leather on the quarter and metal snap eyelets nod to exposed steel beams.

Updated tooling gives the model a chunkier midsole, with oval cutouts at the heel and offset underlays adding depth. GEL cushioning sits in the heel and forefoot above an FF Blast Plus midsole, while a TPU TRUSSTIC shank holds everything steady. Reflective hits across the upper add visibility once the light drops. Its restrained palette works with denim or loose cargos. One to consider for a clean daily rotation.
