HIDDEN x ASICS GEL-NYC

Recognised for its streetwear-oriented Instagram posts, the digital mood board-turned-creative brand HIDDEN NY links up with ASICS for an exclusive collaboration. The two brands have joined forces alongside JW Customs for a limited-edition apparel and sneaker release at the tail end of 2023, which served as a precursor to this project. Set to headline the brand’s Spring ‘24 launch calendar. The HIDDEN x ASICS GEL-NYC presents a clean, verdant colour scheme brimming with notable details inspired by Adobe Suite’s photo editing tools.

This modern retro trainer flaunts a clean white mesh underlay reinforced with metallic silver synthetic overlays. Green pixelated Tiger Stripes decorate the sidewalls, complemented by an ASICS label and bounding box “h” emblem on the lateral rear, a nod to the Photoshop and Illustrator software programs, which helped establish the mood board’s PPF (Past Present Future) catalogue. Co-branded logos decorate the mesh tongue and sockliners. Green GEL cushioning bolsters the midsole, shored up by a metallic silver shank plate for stability. A chequerboard transparency grid pattern decorates the heel panel and exclusive co-branded shoe box, further referencing the graphic design process.
