Joe Freshgoods celebrates the late ‘90s and early 2000s streetwear zeitgeist in this two-part New Balance 1000 collaboration. The chunky running shoe has been in the Boston sportswear brand’s archives for several years and is now ready for reintroduction. Set to trailblaze its comeback, the Joe Freshgoods x New Balance 1000 “Pink Mink” equips the silhouette with a contemporary makeover as part of the 'When Things Were Pure' capsule.
This colourway features a beige open mesh underlay, shored up by a leather toe cap and metallic silver heel counter. Muted pink accents swathe the midfoot overlays, adorned with a semi-translucent “N” logo on the sidewalls. The embroidered “1000” and JFG branding emblazon the lateral forefoot, complementing the co-branded logos on the rear. The Chicago-born designer and creative director implements fiery graphics on the tongue and sockliners, a detail that also appears on the exclusive co-branded shoe box. The chunky ABZORB foam midsole ensures comfort right out of the box, propped up by an anatomical gum rubber sole that delivers an astounding finishing touch.
