Boston-based footwear brand recently revived its 1906 silhouette in the form of the 1906R through collaborations with the likes of thisisneverthat and size?, a similiar process to what the NB2002 received in 2020. The NB 1906R is New Balance's latest commodity expected to receive a significant level of attention, and it appears that the Japanese streetwear and sneaker boutique, atmos, is one of its early partners. The power duo proudly presents the atmos × New Balance 1906R Reflective Safari!
This joint effort between atmos and New Balance offers the 1906R with a darker palette than its counterparts, like the OG 1906 White Black Gold from 2009. Engineered with a blend of mesh, leather, and sythentics, shades of grey and black pop throughout the upper, including the "N" logo on the sidewalls, aggressive TPU heel counters, and toe caps.
Additional noteworthy feature of this co-branded ensemble are the grey-spotted overlays across the forefoot and sides and the black-speckled cream N-ergy midsole unit, pushing the 1906 out of its traditional solid colour blocking. Extra doses of purple are injected into the Stability Web outsole unit to complete these lifestyle trainers from New Balance.
The atmos x New Balance 1906R Reflective Safari is a must-have for die-hard NB collectors. Download The Sole Supplier app so you don't miss out on the latest New Balance collaborations!
