The INVINCIBLE N.HOOLYWOOD New Balance 1906U “Grey” takes the spotlight in this three-way powerhouse collaboration. The project between the Taiwanese boutique, Japanese streetwear brand, and Boston-based sportswear giant resumes the trio’s alliance first formed in 2020. Centred around technical outdoor fashion, the utilitarian-inspired NB 1906U displays an earthy colour scheme in premium, heavy-duty fabrics.
Retro running meets Gorpcore as the silhouette incorporates an array of materials designed to last for years. This iteration sports a greyscale colour palette decked out in mesh, synthetics, and a blend of smooth and hairy suede panels. Muted grey accents envelop the medial forefoot, branded with a “1906” opposite the discreet “new balance” label on the lateral. Mismatched shades form the signature “N” logos on the sides. The ripstop mesh tongue features co-branded logos, while monogram prints swathe the sockliners. A speed lace system is in place to provide easy adjustments. White and cream tones engulf the ABZORB midsole, propped up by gloomy ABZORB SBS pods on the lower heel. The package includes two sets of co-branded regular laces if you opt for a more streetwear-oriented style.
