The New Balance 1906D emerges in another “Protection Pack” following several iterations earlier in the year. This premium running trainer from 2010 continues to headline the Boston-based brand’s retro running shoe catalogue alongside the equally striking NB 2002R. Clad in deconstructed aesthetics neatly executed by designer Yue Wu, this New Balance 1906D Protection Pack “Eclipse” exudes a stealthy makeover perfect for the winter season.

Following up on the contrasting “Triple White” and “Triple Black” options from August ‘23, this NB 1906D iteration has a monotone colour scheme shrouded in a dark navy blue hue crafted in traditional mesh and leather materials. Synthetic overlays form jagged edges, fulfilling the signature detail of the Protection Pack theme. The plastic “N” logos on the sides act as a lace lock, securing the midfoot portion for a lockdown fit. A bright red pigment highlights the N-ergy branding on the lateral panel, deviating from the consistent dark-based upper.
