New Balance 1906R Navy

The newly retro’d 1906R from New Balance has already started to cause waves within the footwear industry, closing the gap between itself and the NB 2002R. Thanks to a number of hot collaborations and the widely popular Protection Pack (actually titled the “Refined Future”), the silhouette has seen a streamlined introduction from shop floor to the weekly rotation. Embracing the typical one-tone upper is this pair of NB 1906R, a range of soft navy suedes and mesh offering an aged appearance. The ABZORB heel unit and outsole have also been appointed with the navy hue, applied with an acid wash finish inspired by the pre-warn trend that continues to resonate with sneakerheads in 2023. Breaking up the top and lower portions of the silhouette is the sail midsole, a feature that harkens back to the techy runner origins of the silhouette.
