Boston-based footwear brand New Balance issues an easy to wear version of its fan-favourite 550 silhouette. Moving away from the heavy collegiate colourways that we saw on the first set of retros, the New Balance 550 “White Grey” could just be the most versatile yet. If you’ve been thinking about picking up a pair of 550s, then you can’t go wrong with this fresh grey number.

Mostly crafted from smooth white leather with soft grey accents littered about the upper, this grey New Balance 550 is easy on the eye. The pair’s gentle appearance lends well to a variety of outfits, complementing your style with its ‘80s retro aesthetic. New Balance branding graces the sidewalls in the form of an italicised N logo, and extra branding accents mark the tongue, insoles, and heels alike. The design is rounded off with a full-length ABSORB cushioned midsole, providing comfort with each stride.

The 550 New Balance grey comes packaged in a standard dark grey box, typical of the brand’s general release editions. While there are no extra laces inside, you can rest assured that each foot comes neatly cradled in wrapping paper. We recommend you go with your standard New Balance sizing, which for most is half a UK size up!
