Levi’s x New Balance 580 Beige

Levi’s teams up with New Balance anew as the legendary denim brand celebrates the classic 501 jeans’ 150th anniversary. Harkening back to its off-road origins and transition to becoming a cult classic sneaker in the streets of ‘90s Tokyo, the New Balance MT580 headlines this two-pack collaboration inspired by the dawning of mountain biking in Marin County, California’s Mount Tamalpais. The Levi’s New Balance 580 “Beige” pairs neutral tones with vibrant accents to replicate mountain bike apparel and equipment.

First introduced in 1996, the New Balance 580 was a Japan-exclusive variant of the NB 585, a trail-running shoe equipped with a reliable stability system meticulously engineered to provide arch support and control during hikes and descents. This collaborative project with Levi’s sees the NB 580 decked out in a black Levi’s SHRINK-TO-FIT™ denim underlay and beige hairy suede overlays built to withstand the unforgiving wear and tear on terrains and trails. Vibrant blue hues engulf the suede “N” logos, rubber tongue label, and heel tab, while purple pigments illuminate the suede forefoot rand and rubber overlays on the quarter panels. Levi’s iconic woven red tab adorns the lateral section on the right shoe, while co-branded labels appear on the sockliners. The chunky C-Cap midsole has a vintage-inspired cream white tone, concealing the signature Rollbar system for stable manoeuvres. Durable, rugged treads cap off the vibrant makeover of this collaborative NB 580 iteration. The packaging includes a special-edition box and three sets of interchangeable laces.
