JJJJound x New Balance 991 Grey Brown Womens

Typical and tasteful, that’s what you can expect from this collaborative project between New Balance and Montreal-based Studio, JJJJound. Casting its eyes on the New Balance 991, the Canadian brand has veered away from its usual choice of the NB990v3, yet still leans on old habits with an earth-inspired colour palette.

The duo has homed in on the NB991’s graceful lines, its daring design characteristic of New Balances’ ethos during its original release in 2001. The muted shades of cobblestone cloak the mesh that weaves in and out the covert green panelling. As we have grown to expect, these arrive with a set of cream laces threaded onto the upper, matching both the sail hits on the midsole and co-branding on the heel. Included in the packaging are a second pair of laces that can be swapped in if you wish to match the hits of covert black on the branding and inside lining.

Delivering yet another timeless edition to its lineup, JJJJound aims its sights upward as they make a strong start to 2023. The JJJJound x New Balance 991 “Grey Brown” Womens is set to drop on the New Balance website and selected retailers on the 16th of February.
