Joe Freshgoods x New Balance 992 Aged Well

Joe Freshgoods unveils his latest sneaker collaboration marking his fifth anniversary with New Balance Made in USA. The Chicago-born designer and creative director joined the NB roster in 2020 and has since produced various sold-out releases. Contrasting the vibrant pigments of his iconic “No Emotions Are Emotions” project, this Joe Freshgoods x New Balance 992 “Aged Well” sports earthy pastels and muted tones to achieve the vintage-inspired theme.

This premium retro shoe flaunts a light grey mesh upper with faint pink and luxe tan pigskin suede overlays. The trademark “N” logo decorates the sides, whilst minimalist JFG labels adorn the heel panel and brown leather tongue. A semi-translucent CR device bolsters the rear for support and stability. Offering incredible comfort, the midsole boasts ENCAP technology with ABZORB SBS in the front and back. Graphics on the co-branded sockliner match the silhouette’s “aged” ensemble. Like the 2020 collab, this pair includes extra blue, pink, olive green, and cream laces. Saying that though, we reckon the pale blue laces are the way to go if you don't mind a bit of pop.

Arriving in a peach open-lid box with the "aged well" wording printed across the top, with a "made history" and jfg circular logo on the side. As you open the box, on the inside of the lid you can find a "DBM" which stands for 'Don't Be Mad', another detail that only Joe himself could have included. There are five different lace options included with the "Aged Well" 992, these flat laces are pale blue, pink, olive green, and cream laces which allow you to rock these in whichever you like. Saying that, we reckon the pale blue laces are the way to go if you don't mind a bit of pop.
