KITH x New Balance 992 Steel Blue

Ronnie Fieg officially introduces the KITH x New Balance 992 “Steel Blue” to coincide with the Osaka flagship store opening. Donning a reverse take on its 991v2 counterpart, this retro trainer nods to the cult classic 1300JP from 1985, a highly sought-after shoe that constantly returns to the catalogue every five years since 1995. This collection expands KITH’s long-standing partnership with New Balance, having curated several collaborative projects since the New York-based label’s inception.

This limited-edition colourway flaunts a muted blue mesh upper with premium pigskin suede and grey synthetic overlays. The beige “N” graces the side panels, complementing the minimalist “KITH” label on the lateral collar and embroidered “USA” on the rear. A lighter blue hue envelops the flat laces for contrast, while the neutral accents throughout the 992’s body produce a vintage aesthetic. The chunky midsole incorporates ENCAP and C-CAP technologies with ABZORB pods on the forefoot and heel to maximise comfort and impact protection. Below, the NDurance outsole delivers excellent grip at every step.
