Nike Magmascape x sacai Varsity Royal

The Paris Fashion Week runway brought us a slew of hot future releases during FW23, the likes of which included a selection of new Nike Magmascapes. Since the sacai x Nike LDV Waffle caused an enormous buzz within the footwear community during Parish Fashion Week’s SS19, the partnership has only grown in strength. The sacai Magmascape "Varsity Royal" is the avant-garde label's latest experimental twist, combining two Nike favourites in the Air Magma and Air Footscape to create a beautiful new hybrid.

This varsity royal colourway again showcases sacai’s knack for collateral thinking and Nike’s icons through a trail-ready lens. An abstract patchwork upper in shades of royal blue, navy, and volt green creates an unconventional reconstructed look. Signature elements like sacai’s doubled tongue branding, doubled lacing system and oversized Swoosh motifs deliver an exploded view of what was a trail-based favourite. Outfitted for off-road conditions, the Magmascape incorporates a hybrid rugged sole combining Nike’s Air Magma and landscape traction patterns. The fusion of trail and streetwear DNA spotlights sacai and Nike’s shared mission to innovate.
