For many OG sneaerheads this dream collaboration between streetwear legend Nigo and Nike is finally becoming a reality. Looking to start his debut project with the Swoosh on a high note, the multifaceted Japanese designer revives a cult classic basketball shoe from the late ‘80s. Dubbed the 'Nigo Force', the Nigo x Nike Air Force 3 Low “‘Blue Void Tour Yellow” adopts a vibrant palette typical of his early days at BAPE.
"You Can't Put Nigo In A Box" reads the campaign slogan, a sentiment that only rings true for few designers out there. This colourway boasts a glossy patent leather construction in navy, pink, yellow, red, and green, harkening back to his favourite palettes from his Y2K era. Signature Swooshes decorate the sides, whilst a futuristic brand label graces the tongue. Corduroy-like fabrics construct the collars for a soft, pillow-like feel that hugs the ankles. Chromed-out co-branding decorates the heel panel to commemorate the newly formed partnership. A red polyurethane Footframe bolsters the midsole, shored up by a full-length Air unit for maximum impact protection. This limited-edition pair arrives in a premium package inspired by the original Force campaign.
